Work-Study Employment
One of the objectives of OMEA is to place underrepresented students in on-campus, work-study employment. Toward this goal, the OMEA funds and administers an extensive work-study program for eligible students. These jobs are part-time only. Students are allowed to work up to twenty hours per week, but are strongly advised first year students to limit their work to ten hours per week. Students can have more than one work-study position, but only one will be funded by OMEA. For more information stop by 100 Barnes Hall or call (607) 255-3841.
If you would like more information about Federal Work Study please see the Student Employment Services website.
Part of the Office of Minority Educational Affairs Work-Study Program includes informational seminars that will focus on the career development. Students being sponsored by OMEA under work-study are expected to attend these seminars. For more information, go to 100 Barnes Hall. For more information on career development you can also visit the Cornell Career Services Office.
