Motivation to Learn and Grow
OMEA and other Cornell offices offer a variety of venues for learning outside the classroom and honing of skills used every day - skills that are necessary to success both in the academic atmosphere as well as the professional world.
The Writing Walk-In Service, a service of the John S. Knight Institute for Writing in the Disciplines, is available to anyone on campus at any stage in their writing process. Focus is on organization, development, style, grammar, tone, and brainstorming on how to put forth the best effort possible. Open hours happen throughout the semesters, and one-on-one appointments to address specific issues or projects can be made as well.
The Learning Strategies Center offers free tutoring for courses in Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Genetics, Math, Physics, and Statistics. They also offer Time Management Skills workshops and more.
Individual Cornell colleges also have tutoring services for their students:
- The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
- The College of Engineering
- The College of Industrial and Labor Relations
If you don't feel that your specific need is addressed here, contact the OMEA office to discuss other options or just stop by.
